Everything I speak on these matters should be in line with what is already said in the Holy Scriptures. I try to follow Jesus completely as Leader in how to represent his Father, Jehovah.

If god was Almighty than he would of known that Adam and Eve and....Satan... and demons....would sin before he even created anything.
by dutchstef ini posted this a before under an other topis, but i think it's a good question for a new topic!.
one of the things i never understout as a young kid was this:.
the question i had as a kid was: if god is almighty than he would of known that adam and eve and....satan... and demons....would sin before he even created anything.. my father who was an elder back then could never give me a good answer.... my dad would say something like because it's was necessary for god to show us and the angels, we can only have a good live if we live it like god wants .

it amounts to the same thing, only Free Will is the loving way to take it, Ultimatum seems more like anger to me. But, yes must stay yes, because God is serious about everything he says. Jehovah is not one to joke around.

Welcome, lezleesm. I believe that "Almighty" refers to Jehovah having started with all the might (=power) before he created Jesus and the rest of creation. That means that all of our power (free will, etc.) is only possible because Jehovah allowed us to have it. That makes us, including the Devil accountable to God for our use of life and choice. (Matthew 4:4,7,10)

I just looked this up in my concordance, after reading your Post 48. Jesus clearly refers to Moses' Genesis (chapter 1 & 2) account of Adam and Eve at Mark 10:6-9. Because these Mosaic references are regarding the time before the fall into sin, the names Adam and Eve are not actually mentioned by Jesus in the NT, which I didn't remember. I see now that Adam's name first appears in the regular NWT at Genesis 3:17, and Eve's name first appears at Genesis 3:20. Also, in English we write "Bible text", not "bibletekst", though I understand what you're saying. I have a Dutch NWT as well, because I've corresponded with a Dutch person before. But I don't make any Dutch here on JWN because the rules say to put each post in English.

The WT contradict the bible they quote in the very next sentence regarding "JWs"!
by Chalam inthis point has been made before but i think the very words the wt write which contradict the bible the quote make the point powerfully.. have a read for yourself http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/index.htm.
jesus told his disciples: "you will receive power when the holy spirit arrives upon you, and you will be witnesses of me both in jerusalem and in all judea and samaria and to the most distant part of the earth.
"acts 1:8.. hence, some 6,000,000 persons today who are telling the good news of jehovah's kingdom by christ jesus in over 230 lands feel that they properly refer to themselves as jehovah's witnesses.. .

One cannot be a true witness of Jesus without being witnesses of Jehovah also. After all, the name "Jesus" derives from a phrase that means "Jehovah provides salvation". Besides, all the LORDs in such bible versions (of translations), such as the KJV and the NIV, substitute for Jehovah (the English-standard equivalent for the Hebrew which is transliterated as YHWH in English letters.

If Jesus believed in Adam and Eve, and he would know (with his pre-human existence dating back to before any Adam and Eve was there, and with all the powers of memory that Jehovah gave him at his baptism), then why should we feel that the account of Adam and Eve was a myth? Is it not so that we can weasel out of accountability? If so, this is mere delusion on our part. Delusion is a form of mental illness, I suggest.

Face value re Isaiah 43:10 is fine on one level, but often prophesy has more than one fulfillment, as is shown when Luke and Paul etc. apply the OT words to a new context. JWs are keeping to this fine holy tradition, I submit, when in 1931 this verse was applied to what what then the International Bible Students. Also, even the name "Jesus" is short for "Jehovah provides salvation". Therefore, if one recognizes Jesus for who he is, that one must also recognize Jesus' submission to Jehovah's will. Jesus said, after all, "Let not my will take place, but yours" or its equivalent if his words are translated into modern English from the original language. With Jesus voluntarily doing Jehovah's bidding by giving up his heavenly position for 30+ years, and then dying voluntarily when he could have refused to fulfill Jehovah's prophecy, this opened up the way for us human mortals to have the hope of everlasting life, as long as we follow the direction found at John 17:3.

Not "just" a thought. It reads to me like a mean-spirited thought, if I do say so myself.
